Welcome to the Inside Track
Steamroll or get steamrolled
A newsletter exploring the rapidly evolving space of AI and how it impacts business. The goal is to get a little smarter together, find some models and frameworks we can use to understand the space.
This is not just-yet-another AI newsletter that regurgitates random news about the latest models from OpenAI and Anthropic.

Here's what Inside Track is:
First, let me quickly introduce myself. My name is Martin Berg. I've worked in the tech industry for 15+ years. My last gig was as CEO of a vertical SaaS company in the entertainment industry.
I now explore new opportunities in the emerging technology landscape. I do that through investing and advising some startups, and I'm also incubating my own new ventures.
I write this newsletter based on one key conviction:
AI is rewriting the rules of business, and it's happening right in front of our eyes. In real-time. Most industries, businesses and people don't realise it yet. That creates a massive opportunity for you and me. Because we're here already.
In Inside Track we'll explore AI in the context of business, and we'll do it from different perspectives:
Personal productivity tactics
Exploring specific business opportunities
High-level explorations of industry shifts driven by AI
If you ever come across an "AI expert" that claims to know what a post-AI world will look like; run in the other direction. Nobody knows.
I'm no expert, but I'm exploring and experimenting. I run a solo shop, and I want to speedrun many different ideas. So, I'm using tools to automate workflows and improve my output. Building agents, and all that stuff.
And I'll share my insights along the way.
My goal for this newsletter is that we together discover the right ways to both understand and leverage this technology. And – adapt as things evolve.
This is key, because it's the biggest trap of anyone "just testing" AI; you do it at a certain point in time, make up your opinions based on what's possible in that moment. Three weeks later, everything's changed.
Those that approach AI this way will not make it.
But we will.
We’re doing this together, so I appreciate any feedback along the way. Also, if you have ideas you’d want to see me write about, please share those to.
You can connect with me on LinkedIn or send me an email. Here’s my personal email; m[at]ninetales[.]co
