#19: 15 AI Convictions I'm Processing
And: The value of perspective in a chaotic environment
Hey friends, and a special welcome to new subscribers!
Writing this to you with this view:

Stepping away from the day-to-day gave me room to let my brain process a bunch of ideas, concepts and convictions I've gathered over the past month.
Here's what's top of mind these days:
The gap between idea and execution has collapsed entirely, but most of the world hasn't caught up yet
Engineering used to be a moat—now anyone with grit can ship an MVP
Distribution becomes the only lever that matters when execution gets commoditized
AI is making content noisier—you need a unique angle or you're invisible
Agent-to-agent commerce will become an entirely new software spending category
When agents buy autonomously, traditional branding and marketing playbooks break
Time is your scarcest asset—bespoke AI workflows give you time elasticity
Most think AI is a feature add. It's actually an operating system shift—study desktop to mobile
Big companies will fumble AI adoption because they underestimate how fast the tech moves
It's a watershed moment where AI-savvy SMBs will crush their laggard competitors
Most SMBs won't realize they're falling behind until it's too late
Legacy SaaS companies are overvaluing their proprietary data
The AI tooling landscape is chaos—by the time it's easy, the advantage is gone
Management expects the org to solve AI while the org waits for management's lead
LLMs' non-deterministic nature fools companies into underestimating their capabilities
Take from this what you will.
For me, I'm continuing to chew on this to figure out how I'm adjusting my business ventures and decide which ideas to bet hard on when I get back.
The AI space is chaos. And it moves fast. Finding the right way to get leverage for you business requires work on top of the work you’re already doing.
For some, working with a partner makes more sense:
To solve for this, we’re spinning up a new, operator-led AI consulting shop. We’ll analyse your business ops, find the best leverage points – then execute fast.
If you want to work with us, fill out this form.
(PS, we’re picking a few cases that we’ll do for free while building out our case studies. You could be the lucky one to get a few thousand dollars worth of consulting at no cost :)
Tactic: Taking a step back
Take a step back.
Whether you're running your own thing, planning to start, or grinding at a company—zoom out. Take a few days off if you can. At minimum, go for a walk without the podcast noise.
Let your brain process everything you've absorbed lately.
Get clear on one thing: What do you actually want from AI leverage?
Based on that answer, what's your first move?
Now go do it.
Until next week,
Martin
