#10: The AI Project Manager Edge
And: How to use AI for Decision Clarity
Hi again—and a warm welcome to new subscribers!
AI is moving fast, but Inside Track stays focused on what matters: real ideas and deployable tactics, not just headlines.
This week, I’ve got both—plus a first look at the very first Inside Track product. Scroll down to check it out.

💡 One Idea
The AI Project Manager Edge
The gap between an idea and its execution has never been narrower—yet your time has never been more valuable. In this new reality, having the right systems to incubate and evaluate your ideas quickly isn't just a productivity hack—it's the difference between being first or forgotten.
The New First Step for Every Project
You need to transform how you approach new ideas. Your process should now begin with a simple but powerful ritual: creating a dedicated project space with your AI assistant.
Instead of letting your ideas languish in neglected notes apps, immediately create a collaborative space where your AI assistant becomes both thought partner and project manager. This accomplishes two crucial things most people miss: it captures your raw thinking and it establishes a persistent context that grows richer over time.
The Acceleration Workflow
You can follow this simple sequence that compresses what used to take days into a single focused session:
Idea exploration - Free-flowing conversation to identify key questions
Research direction - Having the AI generate necessary research tasks
Deep research - Using AI to synthesize the competitive landscape and technologies
Synthesis - Creating a structured understanding of the concept's viability
This approach lets you thoroughly vet 3-4 ideas in a single afternoon—ideas that previously would have stayed forever in your "spark list" because the friction of properly exploring each concept was too high.
Making It Real, Fast
You can extend the process to making ideas tangible quickly. Within the same workflow, explore potential names, generate a brand brief, create a visual identity using AI image tools, and check domain availability—transforming your vague concepts into something remarkably real before making any substantial investment.
Why This Matters Now
In our accelerated environment, the time between your idea and execution is often the critical factor. Opportunities have shorter windows. Your ability to rapidly evaluate ideas isn't just efficient—it's essential.
What makes this approach powerful is how your AI assistant's value compounds with context. Most people use AI tools for disconnected, one-off tasks. But when you treat your AI as a persistent collaborator that accumulates context over time, its outputs improve dramatically as your shared understanding deepens.
Start your next project with this approach. Create that dedicated space. Feed it context continuously. Watch as your idea-to-execution cycle compresses from weeks to hours.
Because in 2025, speed isn't just an advantage—it's your survival.
Announcing the first Inside Track product:
🚀 From Casual Prompts to High-Leverage Habits
One of the hardest parts of using AI isn’t knowing what it can do—it’s making it part of your actual workflow.
I’m building a Notion workspace designed to help you do just that.
It’s based on my own daily systems—planning, content, research, delegation—and built to help you move from casual prompting to habitual leverage.

How to use AI for Decision Clarity
This week, I'm sharing a decision framework that shines when stakes are high, team alignment matters, and you need to document your reasoning. It approaches decisions from multiple angles: cost/benefit, inversion, and second-order effects.
I've found it works best with voice rather than typing – verbally exploring options accesses different thinking patterns, while AI excels at structuring these explorations. In team settings, it creates a shared decision language, making alignment more natural.
Try the prompt below with your AI assistant, replacing Option A and B with your choices. Speaking your responses allows for more nuanced thinking while the AI handles the structure.
(You can also edit this to insert other or additional thinking models).
You are my personal Chief Operating Officer. You help me make clear decisions in line with my goals.
I’m deciding between
- {option A}
- {option B}.
Take me through a decision clarity process utilising cost/benefit, inversion,
and second-order effects.
Follow the steps below precisely:
1. Ask me clarifying questions to map ONLY cost/benefit of each option
2. I will reply to the questions in the previous step.
3. Ask me clarifying questions ONLY to utilise inversion as a mental model to view both options from different angles
4. I will reply to the questions in the previous step.
5. Ask me clarifying questions ONLY to identify second-order effects of each option
6. I will reply to the questions in the previous step.
7. Summarise the findings from steps 1-6.
8. Challenge assumptions and suggest additional things to consider.
9. Present our full evaluation in a structured summary
That’s it for today. Thanks!
